How Long Does HemoHIM Take to Work? What the Human Studies Show
How long until you notice anything from HemoHIM? The human trials ran for 8 weeks — here is what they measured, what changed and when, and what you can realistically expect.
Short answer: there is no fixed day when HemoHIM “starts working”. The human trials of HemoHIM lasted about 8 weeks (2 months) of daily use, and that is the period in which researchers measured changes. If you try it, plan on taking it consistently for at least two months before you judge it — and be wary of any website that promises results in a few days.

What HemoHIM is approved to claim
In South Korea, HemoHIM’s extract is an individually recognised health functional food ingredient. The official wording is that it “may help improve immune function” and “may help reduce fatigue”. These are support claims, not promises of a specific result, and HemoHIM is not a treatment for any disease.
What the human studies measured — and when
- Immune markers (KAERI, 2007): in a placebo-controlled study, 88 participants took HemoHIM or a placebo for 2 months, with blood tests after 1 and 2 months. NK-cell activity and the immune signalling molecules IFN-γ and IL-12 increased, and the researchers reported that the increase grew with the dose and with the length of intake. Blood cell counts did not change.
- Immune markers (KAERI, 2006): in a smaller placebo-controlled study (38 people analysed), NK-cell activity increased significantly only in one subgroup (men taking the lower dose), and white blood cell counts did not change significantly.
- Fatigue (2022): in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 96 adults with fatigue took HemoHIM or a placebo twice a day for 8 weeks. Fatigue scores were lower than with placebo already at the interim visit and the difference was larger at the end of the 8 weeks.
- Safety (2025): an 8-week randomized trial in 96 healthy adults found no clinically significant changes in blood and urine tests and no clinically significant adverse events. It did not measure benefits. The trial was supported by the manufacturer, Kolmar BNH, and included only adults aged 30–59.
Important limits: these studies were small, two of them were carried out by HemoHIM’s developer KAERI, and they measured lab markers or questionnaire scores — not whether people got sick less often. A realistic timeline
- First days: you should not expect to feel anything specific. If you notice side effects such as stomach upset, stop and reconsider.
- First 4 weeks: in the trials, the first follow-up measurements were taken after about a month.
- 8 weeks (2 months): the length of the human trials. This is a fair point to decide whether it is worth continuing for you.
Effects, if any, differ from person to person — Atomy itself notes that results can vary with individual constitution. A “before and after” story from one person is not evidence for anyone else.
How to take it so you can judge fairly
