Is Atomy Legit? An Honest Look at the Company, Its MLM Model and HemoHIM

Short answer: Atomy is a real South Korean company that sells real products — including HemoHIM — through a membership and multi-level marketing (MLM) model. Buying as a consumer member is free. Whether the business opportunity is worth it for you is a separate question, and you should look at it critically. Transparency note: this site is run by an independent Atomy distributor.

What Atomy is

Atomy is a South Korean direct-selling company founded in 2009. It sells health supplements, skincare, personal care, household and food products through country-specific online malls. HemoHIM is its best-known health product; it was developed by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) with Kolmar BNH, which manufactures it.

How the membership works

• Consumer members register to buy at the member price. In the countries we checked there is no registration fee, and we found no monthly purchase requirement.

• Distributors (business members) can earn commissions on sales made through their network.

• Some countries close inactive accounts — in Europe, for example, one purchase with PV per year keeps the membership active.

MLM or pyramid scheme? How to tell

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) explains the difference: a legitimate MLM pays you based on sales to retail customers, while a pyramid scheme pays mainly for recruiting new people. The FTC also warns that most people who join legitimate MLMs make little or no money, and advises reading the paperwork carefully before joining.

Atomy sells products that people buy and use, and joining as a consumer costs nothing. Those are points in its favour. But they do not guarantee that you will earn money as a distributor — judge any income claims critically.

What regulators have said

• Vietnam (2018–2019): the Ministry of Industry and Trade warned about unlicensed multi-level selling of Atomy products and advised consumers not to buy Atomy products of unclear origin.

• Hong Kong and Taiwan (2021): authorities told consumers to stop using HemoHIM after methoxsalen, an undeclared prescription drug, was found in samples; it was withdrawn there and in Singapore. As of October 2026, HemoHIM is sold again in Atomy’s Singapore mall and, as HemoHIM G (艾多美 煥力飲G), in Atomy’s Taiwan mall; it is still not sold in Hong Kong. See Is HemoHIM banned?.

• Colombia: INVIMA warned in 2021 about HemoHIM sold without registration, and in 2024 confirmed a valid registration held by Atomy Colombia.

Honest pros and cons

• Pros: free consumer membership; you buy directly from Atomy’s official mall; HemoHIM is registered as a health functional food in South Korea and has published (small) human studies.

• Cons: as with any MLM, many online reviews come from people who earn commissions (including this site); income from the business is not guaranteed and is usually small; health claims by individual sellers can be exaggerated; product availability differs by country.

What to check before you join or buy
